Academy privacy notice (v3)

IN SHORT (for young people) We collect what we need to decide your place, keep you safe in class and stay in touch about the course. Your parent or guardian helps you apply if you are under 18. We never sell your information. We delete it when we no longer need it. You can ask us for a copy, or ask us to delete it, at any time. 1. WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY When you apply for a course we collect: - Your name, date of birth, email, mobile number and address, so we can consider your application, contact you and check the course suits your age. - Your gender, only for courses taught as single-sex classes. - If you are under 18, your parent or guardian's name, relationship, email and mobile number, and their confirmation that they have parental responsibility. We agree the place with them and copy them on every email. - How well you read the Qur'an and any previous study, so the teacher can place you in the right group. - Anything you choose to tell us about learning needs. This is optional, and we only keep it if you tick the box agreeing to it. - Your answers to extra questions for some courses: - None at the moment. - Your typed name as a signature, the date, and which version of this notice and of the form you saw. - If you send the paper form, photos or scans of the pages you send us. - Notes our staff make while reviewing your application, and a history of what happened to it. We do not ask about your religion and we do not use your application to make assumptions about it. 2. OUR LEGAL REASONS - Deciding your application and running the course: this is a step towards a contract with you (or, for under-18s, with your parent or guardian). - Keeping records of decisions, keeping children safe and handling complaints: our legitimate interests in running the academy properly and safely, and our legal duties. - Learning needs: your explicit consent. Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a). You can withdraw it at any time. - Recording classes, where a course is recorded: your consent. You can say no and keep your camera and name off. - Emails about future courses: your consent, given by a separate box. Every email has a way to unsubscribe. 3. WHO SEES IT - Academy staff who handle applications, and your teacher once you have a place (only what they need, including learning needs you agreed to share). - Anyone we must share with by law, for example to protect a child. We never sell your information or use it for advertising. 4. WHERE IT IS STORED Mostly in the UK and European Economic Area. Some of our providers may process information in other countries. When they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, so it stays protected. 5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT - If you are not offered a place, are waitlisted, or withdraw: 12 months after our decision. - If you are accepted: until 1 year after the course ends. - Email records: deleted with your application. After that we delete it permanently, including scanned forms. We keep only a note that an application with your reference was deleted, which holds no personal details. 6. YOUR RIGHTS You can ask us to: give you a copy of your information; correct it; delete it; stop or limit using it; or move it to someone else. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Parents or guardians can make requests for children under 13, and help older children make their own. We reply within one month. It is free. To make a request, email academy@annurstore.co.uk 7. CHILDREN Courses set their own minimum age, and no course accepts anyone under 5. Under-18s must apply with a parent or guardian. Every teacher of under-18s has a current enhanced DBS check, and each course for under-18s names a safeguarding lead. 8. COMPLAINTS Please tell us first at academy-complaints@annurstore.co.uk. 9. CHANGES If we change this notice we give it a new version number. Each application records the version the applicant saw.

Course terms · Hifz Ul Quran

1. APPLYING IS NOT A CONTRACT Sending an application does not create a contract or any duty to pay. A contract starts only when we offer you a place in writing and you accept it. If you are under 18, the contract is with your parent or guardian. 2. FEES The fee shown on the course page includes VAT and shows the total for the whole course. We will confirm the fee, the payment dates and how to pay in our offer. 3. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL You can cancel within 14 days of accepting your place without giving a reason, and get a full refund. If you ask for classes to start within those 14 days and then cancel, we may keep a fair amount for classes already given. To cancel, email academy@annurstore.co.uk 5. CONDUCT AND ONLINE SAFETY Students must be respectful to teachers and each other, join from a suitable place, and must not record, photograph or share classes. We may remove a student who puts others at risk, after talking to them (and to their parent or guardian if under 18). Our safeguarding lead is named on the course page. 6. IF THINGS GO WRONG Tell us at academy-complaint@annurstore.co.uk and we will try to put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. 9. LAW These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
